after visiting the bus i also stopped by my aunts old farmhouse where i stumbled upon a couple of interesting items that i thought would make an interesting picture. i hope you like them.

over 30 years ago, my uncle set off to india in a converted and painted bus, accompanied by a few of his friends. listening to stories about this journey is one of my most precious memories of my uncle. these are some pictures of the bus, with it’s interior worn down and the painting peeling off of it’s surface – but it’s still one of the most memorable things i have ever seen… (more…)

remember the article i wrote about my fascination with thunderstorms and lightning in particular?

while browsing the trailers section on the apple website i came across a couple of really impressive trailers (more on that later) but one looks really promising.
it’s a documentary about seven people who got struck by lightning.
and survived.

the movie is called “act of god” i am very much looking forward to that.

but there are a couple more trailers that might be worth a second glance.
there is “adam” which tells the story of a guy who is kind of a nerd and meets this girl that moved in next door.
or “gigantic“, a film with paul dano who blew me away in little miss sunshine, that is focusing on a 28 year old guy why is trying to get a grip on life.
and you might also want to take a look at “paper heart“, a documentary story about a girl traveling around asking people about finding true love and stumbling upon it.
too much romantic stuff? i like it, shut up…

how about some coming-of-age stories?
like “the new twenty” about five friends hitting 30?
or “the mysteries of pittsburgh” maybe?

well, nevermind.

the weather forecast said there would be thunderstorms all over austria tonight.
guess where i am going tonight…

this week my grandpa passed away after being transferred to a hospital and suffering from two heart attacks.
after having lost my grandma, my uncle and my grandmas’ sister last year, it feels like the whole family is falling apart.

there’s this saying:

when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

well, i am fucking sick of lemonade by now…

aufstehen, atmen, anziehen und hingehen.
zurückkommen, essen und einsehen zum schluss:
dass man weiter machen muss.

(get up, breathe in, get dressed and leave. come back, have some food and finally realize: time to move on.)

time to put on my only suit that i have worn so often the last couple of months…
and go to the funeral.

obviously i’ve got targeted by telemarketers recently. my blog is chock full of spam that i am cleaning up daily, i’ve been called on my mobile a couple of times now to talk about “great offers that i might be interested in” and now even my landline starts ringing with some guy telling me if i would like to buy some crap.

no, i fucking don’t! leave me alone!
